This article on Softpedia features a easy to follow step by step instruction on how you can get Photoshop CS2 running functionally on ANY Linux distribution without any hacking, using the latest Wine version (to date) - 0.9.54.

The installation and configuration instruction include either upgrading an older existing Wine version or a full fresh installation if not on computer already. Either way, the article introduce a simple way to get the latest (to date) version of Wine.

This worked well for me and now I have Photoshop CS2 running smoothly on my Kubuntu Gutsy x86_64. Experiencing no problems. Thanks Wine team.
